Creche and Sunday Club

We meet every Sunday of the school year, in the church hall. The creche is for babies and toddlers up to the age of 4 and the Sunday Club is for 5-16 year olds.

For the first 15 minutes of the service, the children usually attend the church with their parents where the minister spends time with them and delivers a fun children's address.

We currently have a core membership of over 20 children but are joined regularly by other children visiting the church. Your children are welcome to attend on a regular basis or as a on-off.

What to Expect

  • A fun, exciting environment.
  • Small Group leaders committed to your child.
  • Resources to help you as a parent and a family.

Our Sunday Club is an hour of creative teaching, biblical stories, and hands-on learning at an early age to begin building a foundation for faith. We encourage the children to hear God’s Word, know God’s Word, and do God’s Word by learning to apply it to their lives.

Typical activities include art & crafts, drama, games, stories and music. The children take part in some special church services including performing an annual nativity play. We also hold an annual prize-giving service for the children each year where every registered child receives a gift.

We have several fund-raising events held in the church each year and the children often contribute by selling home-made cakes and crafts and running sponsored events e.g. dressing up for Red Nose Day.

Days Out

Each May or June, we have a very well attended Sunday School Saturday outing to a local seaside resort where activities have been pre-arranged. There are usually other organised trips each year such as the Christmas pantomime.

Our Environment

The Sunday Club Superintendant is Margo Weir and she is supported by 4 leaders all of whom are police-checked. Most of our leaders have been involved with the Sunday Club and other church organisations for many years and are skilled and experienced at working with children. We ask that regular attendees complete a form with medical issues, contact details, etc. and a register of attendance is maintained for the annual prize-giving.

We have a large hall for the children to run around in as well as a teaching room for art & crafts, videos, etc. Toilets and a kitchen are adjacent to the hall. Every effort is made to provide a secure, safe, clean and tidy environment for the children.
